The Zephyr’s use of economical and clean burning natural gas reduces carbon monoxide emissions by 97% and nitrogen-oxide emissions by 60%. Non-methane hydrocarbon emissions are reduced by 75%. Evaporative and particulate matter emissions are almost eliminated. By replacing the industry’s current wide body fleet with environmentally friendly Zephyrs, the airlines will lower their CO2 emissions by 6.1 billion tons over the next twenty years.
